SCOUTS - Be Prepared

The International Friendship Award is about developing friendships. Its aim is to bring a Group together to encourage friendship and links, both internally and internationally. By working together on this Award, everyone will grow in understanding and respect for each other. They will also make new friends and find out about people living in other countries.

The aims of the International Friendship Award are to:

- promote international activities for each Section and projects for Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network

- promote activities between the Sections

- support the international focus in the Programme

- ensure there is a positive influence on everyone taking part

- have a long-term benefit for people living in another country.

Examples of projects might include:

- supporting the development of Scouting in Russia

- supporting Street Scouts in Kenya.
